Job Overview

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Food Service Worker to join our team. In this role, you’ll be an essential part of providing excellent meal service in a busy environment. Your responsibilities will include food preparation, serving residents or guests, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about food service, has positive time management skills, and enjoys working with others to create a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and serving meals according to established recipes and safety guidelines.
Support food handling procedures to ensure proper sanitation and hygiene.
Help with food presentation and portioning to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchens, and food storage spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation.




Support meal delivery by serving residents or guests with friendly customer service.
Follow all health and safety regulations to promote a protected working environment.
Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and reporting shortages.

Experience
Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry environments is preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices is highly valued.
Experience with food handling, serving, and sanitation procedures is beneficial.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.

Ability to commute/relocate:
Dartmouth, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
