Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Laser / Press Brake Operator to join our metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of machine operation experience and is comfortable working in a rapid-paced shop workplace.

This role involves operating laser cutting and press brake equipment, reading drawings, measuring parts, assisting with material handling, and helping keep production moving safely and accurately.

Duties
Operate laser cutting and press brake equipment
Set up and run jobs based on drawings, work orders, and production requirements
Read and interpret basic blueprints/shop drawings
Measure and inspect parts using tape measure, calipers, squares, and angle gauges
Load/unload material and organize finished parts for the next operation
Perform basic quality checks and report issues early
Assist with deburring, sorting, tagging, and material handling as needed
Follow all safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized

Qualifications




Minimum 1 year of machine operation experience required
Experience with laser cutting, press brake, CNC, or metal fabrication equipment preferred
Ability to read basic drawings/blueprints
Comfortable using measuring tools and checking part accuracy
Basic mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills
Reliable, safety-focused, and willing to learn
Forklift experience is an asset
AutoCAD experience is an asset

Assets
Press brake setup experience
Laser cutting experience
Forklift certification
AutoCAD or basic CAD experience
Sheet metal fabrication experience
