Overview
We are seeking a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to provide support in our veterinary practice. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant training and/or prior veterinary experience. The successful candidate will support veterinarians and team members in providing exceptional care to animals and clients. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about animal health and welfare to gain valuable experience within a qualified environment.

Duties
Assisting veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries
Pending qualifications, anesthesia and radiology duties
Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment
Restraining animals safely during procedures and examinations
Administering medications as directed by the veterinarian
Collecting samples for laboratory testing and maintaining accurate records
Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, treatment areas, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
Providing compassionate care and reassurance to animal patients and their owners




Managing appointment schedules and assisting with client communication as needed

Experience
Previous veterinary experience is strongly desirable; training will be provided for the right candidate
Laboratory experience is considered an advantage but is not mandatory
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
Ability to learn quickly and work well within a team in a quick-paced environment

Pay: $18.50-$28.00 per hour
