The Friends is seeking a compassionate and energetic Independent Living Assistant/Personal Support Worker (PSW) to empower individuals to live independently and with dignity. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to clients in their homes, helping them achieve their daily goals and maintain a high quality of life. Your dedication will make a meaningful difference by fostering independence, safety, and well-being for those you serve.

Duties
Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Prepare meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
Assistance with medications
Support clients with light housekeeping, laundry, shopping and maintaining a secure living workplace
Assist with mobility and transfer techniques, ensuring safety at all times
Providing care according to service plan and report any changes in client condition promptly

Requirements
Previous experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments is highly desirable




Strong patient care skills with a focus on senior care, or working with individuals with disabilities
Excellent communication skills to interact empathetically with clients and team members
Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent is preferred; relevant caregiving experience will also be considered
Valid G licence with a reliable vehicle to drive from client to client in the Gravenhurst and Bracebridge areas.

Pay: $22.95-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10.0 per week
