Overview

We are looking for a compassionate Full-time Registered Veterinary Technician for our veterinary practice in Winnipeg. We are committed to the highest standards of patient care with new technologies, advanced diagnostics, and modern facilities including digital X-ray, and in- house lab testing. We are an animal hospital that provides veterinary services for dogs and cats with a supportive team environment which is focused on the well being and work/life balance of the staff.

Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care
Prepare animals for treatment by safely restraining and calming them to ensure their comfort and safety
Collect laboratory samples such as blood, urine, or tissue for testing, ensuring proper handling and documentation
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under veterinarian supervision following established protocols
Maintain accurate patient records, update medical charts, and document all procedures thoroughly
Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and preventive health measures
Support inventory management by stocking supplies, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring cleanliness of the treatment area





Requirements
Proven laboratory experience or familiarity with laboratory procedures is highly desirable
Solid understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and common veterinary practices
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform physical tasks required in veterinary settings

Pay: $27.00-$31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
