Overview

We are looking for a reliable, experienced and professional Salon Assistant / Receptionist to join our team.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working in a busy salon workplace, works quickly and efficiently, and understands the importance of providing excellent service to every client.

Duties
Greet clients warmly as they arrive, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable
Manage the front desk by scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and handling inquiries efficiently
Assist hairstylists with basic hair styling tasks and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean workspace
Promote retail products and upsell services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the salon to ensure a safe environment
Support daily operations by organizing supplies, managing client records, and handling payments
Foster excellent communication with clients and team members to ensure smooth service delivery

Requirements




Solid customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
Basic knowledge of hair styling techniques is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
Ability to handle retail sales and upselling opportunities confidently
Car is required
Attention to sanitation protocols and maintaining a clean work environment
Reliable, punctual, and eager to contribute to a positive team atmosphere
Previous front desk or receptionist experience in a salon or retail setting is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: Up to $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
