Job Summary

Prairie Malt has an immediate opening for a qualified Industrial Millwright at our malt processing plant in Biggar. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is an integral member of the plant maintenance team responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment in a safe and cost effective manner and participating fully in the plant safety program.

Duties
Perform scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance on plant assets, including equipment rebuilds, asset replacement, and lubrication duties as assigned while maintaining required documentation.
Perform corrective maintenance on plant assets resulting from preventative maintenance issues as they arise.
Participate in meetings, training activities, and in plant safety and food safety programs.
Respond to unexpected breakdowns and perform critical repairs as required.
Other projects and activities as assigned.

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate is a Journeyman Millwright,



however we also welcome applications from Apprentice Millwrights with minimum 3600 Trade Experience Hours as per Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission
Must be located, or willing to relocate to the Biggar area
Fluency in written and spoken English
Legally Entitled to work in Canada
Ability to work standard dayshift schedules consisting of 4x10 hr dayshift on weekdays, with some required overtime and call-in outside of regular working hours
Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Basic knowledge of industrial safety, food safety and environmental regulations.
Robust problem solving skills and transparent written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $39.47-$47.65 per hour
