Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Account Payable Assistant / Junior Bookkeeper with experience in the hospitality industry to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing accounts payable, performing bookkeeping functions, and processing payroll through Payworks. This role is vital in ensuring accurate financial records, timely vendor payments, and productive payroll administration for our hotel operations.

Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice verification, coding, data entry, approvals, and payment processing.
Process and reconcile vendor invoices, statements, and expense reports while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Utilize software to prepare, process, and monitor electronic vendor payments and approval workflows.
Communicate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment inquiries.
Perform account reconciliations, including vendor accounts, bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparation of schedules and reconciliations.

Qualifications & Experience




3+ years of experience as a Hotel Accounts Payable Assistant, Junior Bookkeeper, or Accounting Assistant, preferably within the hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or property management industry.
Robust practical experience in full-cycle Accounts Payable.
Experience using software for electronic payment processing and vendor payment management.
Familiarity with processing payroll through Payworks.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

This position is ideal for an experienced Accounts Payable qualified with bookkeeping and Payworks payroll experience looking to grow within a hospitality-focused organization.

Pay: $42,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
