Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) for an in-person role located in North York. This position focuses heavily on mentoring staff, ensuring that all practices comply with ministry regulations, supporting the supervisor with administrative duties, and stepping into the supervisor role when they are away.

Responsibilities
Staff Mentorship & Training: Coach, mentor, and train RECEs and ECAs on regulatory requirements, best practices, and high-quality early learning standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Ministry of Education licensing requirements, Toronto Children's Services (TCS) guidelines, and centre policies.
Administrative & Supervisory Support: Assist the supervisor with day-to-day administrative tasks, documentation, policy reviews, and record-keeping.
Supervisor Coverage: Step in and take on the full operational responsibilities of the supervisor in their absence.
Audits & Quality Assurance: Conduct regular classroom audits, monitor health, safety, and program quality standards, and prepare the centre for Ministry licensing inspections.

Requirements
Registration:



Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in positive standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting, including leadership or mentoring experience.
Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of the CCEYA, Ministry of Education licensing requirements, How Does Learning Happen?, Public Health requirements, and Occupational Health & Safety.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
