Opportunity Overview The role sits within RBC Capital Markets’ COO group and the Liquidity, Funding and Payment Services pillar.

The Payments Product Organization is focused on improving straight-through processing rates and controls for high-value payments.

The Product Team advances a transformation roadmap across people, processes, data, and technologies.

Responsibilities
Map, analyze, and redesign business processes to identify inefficiencies, automation opportunities, and process improvements.
Analyze Capital Markets payments ecosystems as part of the payments modernization program.
Collaborate with operations, legal, compliance, risk, and technology teams.
Support product rollout readiness through training and internal team support.
Plan and execute test cases, develop roadmaps, and design payments dashboards and tracking tools.
Manage cross-functional stakeholder engagement, project reporting, and vendor relationships.

Required Qualifications
At least 5 years of Business Analyst or Product Analyst experience in financial institutions, particularly Capital Markets or Payments/Cash Management.
At least 3 years of hands-on agile development in a product owner role,



including user stories and backlog refinement.
Knowledge of ISO and MT/MX payment formats, SWIFT messaging, FX payments, and instant payments processing.
Understanding of cutting-edge technologies and current technology trends.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical resources.
Familiarity with legal and compliance obligations related to payments and Capital Markets.

Preferred Certification
CSM or CTP certification is preferred but not required.
