Position Summary

The Workshop Coordinator / Membership Growth Intern provides hands-ontraining and implementation support to small and medium-sized businesses acrossthe Highway 11 Corridor. This position helps local businesses adopt moderntechnologies and best practices in digital marketing, artificial intelligence,business development, and customer service to boost productivity, employeeretention, and competitiveness. The coordinator will work directly withregional businesses while developing and delivering a Chamber CertifiedBusiness Excellence Training Program.

Primary Responsibilities

- Digital Marketing Support: Assist businesses withsocial media management, Facebook Business Pages, Google BusinessProfiles, website updates, content strategy, and online advertisingcampaigns.
- Artificial Intelligence Training: Introducebusinesses to AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot), deliverintroductory workshops, support practical tool implementation, and createresource guides.
- Business Development Services: Conduct businessneeds assessments, provide one-on-one coaching, support digitaltransformation projects,



and assist with member retention and engagement.
- Chamber Certified Program Delivery: Develop,deliver, and evaluate a structured business training curriculum;coordinate participant registration, maintain training records, andoversee certification requirements.
- Administrative Duties: Prepare trainingpresentations, track program metrics and reporting, schedule workshops,handle participant communications, and support Chamber events.

The intern reports directly to the Executive Director of the NorthernCorridor Chamber of Commerce, receiving continuous mentorship from the Board ofDirectors and regional business leaders. Formal performance evaluations occurevery three months to support professional development.
