Hey there! My family in Frontier, Saskatchewan is looking to hire live-in rotational elder care providers beginning in 2027 to provide home care for our loved one at a farm located about 20 minutes from town.

Our family member has diabetes, dementia, and some mobility limitations.

The ideal candidate will assist with medication and diabetes routines, provide personal support as needed, and help him continue living safely and comfortably at home.

We expect to staff his home-care needs with two or more caregivers working alternating live-in rotations for example, 5 days on / 5 days off, 7 days on / 7 days off, or a similar arrangement as agreed.

Compensation Approximately $250 per day, plus: - accommodation (a private room) while working; - meals; - high-speed internet; - a retention bonus after six months and annually thereafter.

Compensation and rotation may be adjusted depending on experience, qualifications, and the final care arrangement.

The caregiver would normally sleep overnight in a private room.

Awake overnight care is not currently anticipated, although the caregiver would be resident and available if an unexpected need arose.





Responsibilities may include - being present and available during the live-in shift; - preparing meals; - handling groceries, prescriptions, and routine errands; - assisting with mobility when needed; - supporting medication and diabetes routines within appropriate training and scope; - providing companionship and general supervision; - driving or accompanying him to appointments and outings; - light household tasks; - responding when assistance is needed. A valid driver''s licence is strongly preferred.

Experience with elder care, dementia, diabetes, mobility limitations, or home support would be an asset.

We are looking for someone dependable, compassionate, and comfortable with a rural live-in arrangement.

Because this is a rotational position, caregivers would spend several days at the farm followed by a roughly equivalent block of time completely off.
