Electrical & Electronics Designer Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical & Electronics Designer to design, develop, and document Test and Automation Systems at their office in Mississauga.

The role involves schematic design, component selection, PCB layout collaboration, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and specifications, debugging and validating test systems.

Role and Responsibilities: Review customer test specifications and scope out test strategy as per the internal test development process/procedures.

Design Test and Process Automation Systems which include design electrical control subsystems and systems including electrical/electronic circuits, pneumatic and PLC controls, incorporate applicable measurement instruments and cabling.

Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout documentation using Solid Works Electrical.

Select components based on performance, cost, reliability, and availability.

Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, and design reports.

Collaborate with mechanical, software development, and project management teams.

Design electronic interface/control PCB to testing client products.

Perform simulations, testing, debugging, and validation of designs and test systems.

Ensure designs comply with safety, regulatory, and industry standard guidelines (CSA SPE-1000, UL, CE etc.)

Attend project status meetings, update project status tracking tools and communicate with project management team.

Perform on-site installations and on-going technical warranty support at client sites.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

Experience in electrical/electronics circuit design.

Experience with Solidworks and EDA tools (e.g., Solid

Works, Altium, OrCAD, Eagle, KiCad) Solid understanding of analog and digital circuits.

Knowledge of power electronics, signal integrity, and EMC/EMI principles.

Experience to read and create technical drawings and schematics.

Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications Experience with Solid

Works Electrical.

Experience with PCB design and layout review.

Experience with mass interconnect solution(VPC, Stabuli).

Experience with automotive communication protocols(CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).

Experience in testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and DFM/DFA principles.

Exposure to relevant industry standards and certifications.

Experience with NI instrument and software.
