Description Located at the Inter Pipeline Calgary office, the Specialist, Commercial Development will be a key member of the quick-paced, high-performing Transportation Commercial Team.

Reporting to the Manager, Long Haul Commercial Pipeline, the Specialist, Commercial Development is responsible for leading the identification, development, negotiation, and execution of commercial growth opportunities for the Long-Haul transportation business.

This key role collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to advance strategic business initiatives and drive commercial growth.

Key Activities and Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership in the commercial development of growth projects, including new assets, origination opportunities, partnership or acquisition opportunities, open seasons, and customer re-contracting initiatives Develop and execute commercial strategies that maximize value and support business objectives, while leading a disciplined commercial development process from opportunity assessment through execution Oversee and conduct economic evaluations to assess investment risks, opportunities, and overall project value Support business analysts in economic modeling, cash flow analysis, and investment performance reviews Lead negotiations of transportation and other commercial agreements associated with growth projects Present project recommendations and business insight to executive leadership Facilitate the transition of projects from commercial development to commercial operations Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and other commercial counterparties and attend customer and industry events as required Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and developments within the Canadian midstream and energy sectors Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Major Projects, Operations, Legal, Marketing and other internal stakeholders to advance commercial growth objectives Education, Skills and Experience Bachelors degree in Business, Finance,



Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline 12+ years of relevant experience in commercial development, commercial management, corporate development, or a related role within the oil and gas or midstream sectors Self-starter with a proactive approach to driving growth initiatives and owning outcomes Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate, and advance commercial growth opportunities Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Highly adaptable, self-motivated, and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Self-aware, coachable, and able to receive constructive feedback Collaborative team player with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Hours permanent full-time Inter Pipeline recognizes the importance of properly rewarding our employees by offering attractive employee benefits.
