Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Construction Purchasing Specialist to join their team in Calgary, Alberta.

This role supports day-to-day purchasing activities by ensuring effective procurement, financial controls, supplier coordination, and accurate purchase order management.

The ideal candidate is an organized and detail-oriented procurement professional with practical experience in purchasing, pricing, and purchase orders, along with strong vendor and internal stakeholder relationship skills and the ability to leverage technology to support efficient processes.

Responsibilities: Manage purchasing activities for construction goods and services, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders while verifying pricing, quantities, and delivery requirements.

Obtain and compare supplier quotes,



coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and resolve order discrepancies.

Use ERP and accounting systems to process procurement transactions, maintain accurate purchasing data, and support workflow efficiency.

Review purchasing requests for completeness, budget alignment, and compliance with established procedures and internal controls.

Maintain organized procurement records, supplier information, and supporting documentation for reporting and audit requirements.

Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes through technology, standardization, and effective administrative practices.
