We are supporting a public-sector organization seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems & Data Analyst for an initial six-month contract.

This individual will help business departments define their operational questions, identify the appropriate data sources, and transform information from legacy systems, spreadsheets, and enterprise platforms into meaningful reports and visualizations.

This role requires someone who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.

The successful candidate will be comfortable gathering business requirements while possessing the technical skills to work with data and deliver practical solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.

This position will work hybrid in office in the greater Vancouver region, though remote work would be considered for the ideal candidate.

Key Responsibilities Partner with departments to understand business challenges and determine how data can support decision-making.

Translate business questions into reporting requirements, data sets, dashboards, and actionable insights.

Extract, organize, analyze, and validate data from enterprise applications, legacy systems,



and spreadsheets.

Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI.

Identify the appropriate data sets and sources needed to address business and operational questions.

Support departments currently relying on Excel by organizing and transitioning information into more structured solutions.

Assist with the data side of Share

Point initiatives, including structuring information for sites, lists, and libraries.

Perform basic configuration within Share

Point, Microsoft Forms, Power Apps, and other Microsoft 365 tools.

Support a key project involving the migration of a large Excel-based database into a new Share

Point environment.

Assist with reporting and data requirements connected to an ongoing Oracle Net

Suite implementation.

Work alongside internal data and systems resources to improve reporting consistency, data quality, and accessibility.

Create documentation and provide guidance to business users on new reporting and information-management solutions.
