Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Data Engineer for one of our clients who will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store data within Snowflake, leveraging Python and dbt to support enterprise reporting and analytics.

The role will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, validate solution architecture, and deliver efficient, reliable data solutions.

The successful candidate will optimize existing pipelines by enhancing performance, improving data quality, resolving defects, and reducing overall platform costs.

Skills and Requirements
2+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Python, with this experience demonstrated within the most recent 4 years of professional work history.

Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries.

Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects.

Proficiency with Git

Hub for source control, code management, and collaborative development workflows.

Proven experience designing, building, and deploying current data pipelines, including gathering business requirements, validating solution architecture, and implementing scalable data solutions.

Experience maintaining and enhancing existing data pipelines, including issue resolution, bug fixes, performance tuning, optimization, and ongoing support.

Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust and efficient data engineering solutions.

Experience working with BI and data visualization tools, such as Looker, Power BI, and Tableau.

Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex, including leveraging AI and ML capabilities within the Snowflake ecosystem.

Experience designing and building AI agents within Snowflake.

Knowledge of semantic views and semantic layers, including developing semantic models that support AI agents and business-facing analytics.

Familiarity with enabling natural language querying and AI-driven insights through semantic modeling and agent-based architectures in Snowflake.
