and career advancement. Your Impact at LAURIN This role is directly responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial reporting functions at LAURIN. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Controller ensures compliance with internal procedures and provides guidance and management to the accounting and finance department. Key Responsibilities Manage, provide mentorship and assist all functions within Accounting Department, including AP and AR cycles. Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections, providing insights and recommendations to the Director of Finance. Monitor and report on key financial metrics, identifying trends and variances to inform decision-making. Stay current with industry trends, accounting regulations, and best practices to ensure continued understanding of the evolving financial and regulatory landscape. Assist in responses to requests from provincial and federal tax authorities. Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies, as well as compliance with regulatory requirements. Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial reports including, but not limited to WIP analysis, Cashflow, Quarterly Income Statement Analysis, Overhead Analysis, AP/AR Aging, Equipment Rental Billings, and Labor Up-Charges.
