The Warehouse Associate's position is a physical fast-paced and labor-intensive role within a warehouse setting that involves sorting/stocking packages as well as loading and unloading them into and out of UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers.
**Job Type:**
Part-Time - Permanent
**Work Location: 575 Harwood Ave North, Ajax Ontario, L1Z 0K4**
**Workdays:**
Monday to Friday- **4:00am to 9:00am**
**Shift Duration:**
3-5 hours per day * **(Flexibility is required with both the start and finish times).**
**All Applicants must work a minimum 25 hrs/ week**
**Responsibilities and Duties:**
Load and unload packages into package delivery vehicles and trailers
Learn and properly execute company-established package handling methods
Sort and stock packages based on postal codes
**Qualifications:**
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35kg)
Full availability to work Monday to Saturday
Ability to read and memorize postal codes




Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles
Warehouse experience (would be considered an asset)
**Compensation and Benefits:**
$18.50/hr. / automatic progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement.

Unionized position with automatic progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement (top rate of $36.53/hr. after 48 months of service
Tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 per semester (subject to eligibility, program approval, and satisfactory academic performance)

Weekly Pay via Direct Deposit- Every Friday

2 weeks of paid vacation after 1 year of service (3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years, and 6 weeks after 25 years)

**_EXPENSES/WORKING CONDITIONS:_**
_Monthly union dues (approximately $52/month) A union initiation fee of $50 (will be deducted after completing 90 working days with UPS)_
