Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior .NET Software Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise application modernization initiative.

This individual will play a key role in transitioning critical business applications from a legacy Java/ADF environment to a modern .NET ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, software architecture, and enterprise application development.

This role will be responsible for leading development efforts, mentoring engineers through a technology transition, establishing engineering best practices, and partnering closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise web applications using C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, and .NET
Drive the modernization of legacy Java/ADF applications into a scalable and maintainable .NET architecture
Develop current application features and capabilities while ensuring functional parity during system migrations
Partner with architects to define application architecture, API strategies, and database design standards
Design and develop RESTful APIs integrated with Oracle and other relational databases
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following SOLID principles and Clean Architecture practices
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews for development team members
Establish and enforce Git branching strategies, CI/CD practices, and development standards
Identify and resolve technical debt while improving application performance, reliability, and security




Collaborate directly with business partners and global stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Maintain technical documentation related to architecture, database design, and migration activities

Skills and Requirements
Minimum 8 years of professional experience in the .NET ecosystem with expert-level knowledge of C# and ASP.NET Core




Strong software design and architecture experience including Dependency Injection, Repository Pattern, Clean Architecture, Modular Design, and design patterns with the ability to develop scalable enterprise solutions
Advanced database architecture and SQL expertise, including Entity Framework Core and Oracle DB optimization (SQL Server and PostgreSQL experience also considered)
Experience building enterprise web applications using ASP.NET Core MVC and Java

Script
Frontend development experience including responsive UI development with HTML, CSS, and UI component libraries such as Telerik UI
Experience leading development teams, mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and driving software quality standards
Strong verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams and explain technical concepts to varying audiences
Ability to participate in occasional technical discussions aligned to Eastern Time Zone (EST)
Hands-on experience with Git/Git

Lab, branching strategies, merge requests, version control best practices, and CI/CD pipelines
Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities independently and design systems with long-term scalability in mind
Nice to Have: Exposure to Java or Java ADF and the ability to understand legacy business logic
Experience with Supply Chain Management (SCM) or ERP systems
Experience with Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core, Ajax Binding, or Tag Helpers
Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
Experience supporting legacy application modernization initiatives
Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and modern software engineering practices Experience modernizing or migrating legacy enterprise applications
