We are working with a fast-growing AI software company, and they are looking to hire a Forward Deployed Engineer in Toronto to help bring AI into real-world healthcare environments. It's AI Management System helps major North American health systems monitor, govern, and safely scale predictive AI, generative AI, and emerging agentic applications.This is a hands-on engineering role combining software development, AI implementation, and direct collaboration with customers. You’ll own platform deployments end to end, build integrations with hospital systems, and work closely with clinical and technical stakeholders to solve meaningful problems.What You’ll Do
Own the implementation and deployment of an enterprise AI platform across partner health systemsBuild backend integrations and data pipelines connecting the platform to secure hospital data systemsWork with hospital teams to understand their AI applications, clinical workflows, and monitoring requirementsHelp onboard predictive models, LLM applications, and agentic systems, identifying appropriate metrics and developing custom monitors where neededPartner with clinicians, hospital technology teams, and internal Engineering, Data, ML,



and Governance teams to drive implementations through to productionTroubleshoot integration and deployment challenges, with a robust focus on reliability and correctnessTurn recurring customer requirements into reusable tooling and platform improvementsWhat We’re Looking For:
Solid software engineering fundamentals and hands-on backend development experience in Python, Java, or similar languagesHands-on experience building LLM-based applications, with exposure to delivering AI systems in production or customer-facing settingsExcellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersStrong problem-solving skills, initiative, and comfort owning work from requirements through deliveryA robust academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical disciplineSoftware engineering, ML engineering, or hands-on technical consulting backgrounds are all relevantExperience with healthcare data, regulated environments, or secure enterprise deployments is a plus
