Based out of our Acheson Powell Service Division location, a Senior Mechanical Designer is responsible for designing and developing mechanical components, systems, and equipment for Powell’s Switchgear and Motor Control Equipment. This role requires strong technical skills, knowledge of industry standards and regulations, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with crossfunctional teams. The Senior Mechanical Designer may also provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.Assist Mechanical Engineering efforts in product development process.Create documentation to support assembly.Gain familiarity with strengths of materials,



steel and copper.Gain familiarity with electrical design.Learn policies and procedures, work instruction, ISO policies, Safety Rules and Regulations, and
vendor products.
High School Graduate or GED.Basic drafting/CAD skills, Inventor, or 3D CAD software required.
