The position manages capital projects, insurance claims, and coordinates the scheduling of trades staff and/or contractors and building superintendents for specialized maintenance. Responsibilities include renovation, reconstruction, technical repair work, and safe installation of equipment with minimum disruption to tenants.QualificationsEssentialCompletion of a post‑secondary degree or certificate in commercial construction or related field (including Interior Design, Architecture, Facility Management and Engineering). Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.Experience coordinating and planning all phases of construction and facility‑related projects, including defining project scope, budgeting, scheduling, tendering, implementation and ongoing technical advice.Experience reviewing construction documentation and interpreting sketches and as‑built drawings.Experience providing customer service to diverse client groups, including elected officials, managers, technical and trades staff.Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage, prioritize and meet competing deadlines.Effective verbal communication skills,
