This is an exciting opportunity to join Manulife Investment Management’s Infrastructure Equity team as a Summer Intern, supporting a global portfolio of fund and co-investments across sectors such as renewable energy, utilities, transportation, and digital infrastructure. As part of the Private Markets group, you’ll contribute to the team’s mission of delivering long-term value for Manulife’s general account. This role offers hands‑on exposure to infrastructure investing, including due diligence, financial modeling, and portfolio monitoring, in a team-oriented, high-performing environment. Interns will gain valuable experience in private markets and develop skills that are foundational for a career in investment management.

Position Responsibilities:

- Support due diligence and underwriting of infrastructure fund and co-investment opportunities.
- Assist in preparing investment memos and presentations for internal committees.
- Conduct market and sector research across global infrastructure themes.
- Analyze financial statements and build financial models to assess investment performance.
- Support portfolio monitoring and reporting activities, including data aggregation and performance tracking.

Required Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated interest in infrastructure, private markets, or investment management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.




- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior internship or work experience in finance, consulting, or investment-related roles.
- Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Knowledge of infrastructure sectors or private equity.
- Experience with data tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or PowerBI.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Salary range is expected to be between:

$40,950.00 CAD - $62,400 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. The annual salary will be pro-rated based on the length of the work-term.
