Senior Estimator Role for Kelson Eastern Location: Kingston, Ontario

Summary Kelson is looking for a Mechanical Estimator who will be instrumental in the growth and success and achievements of Kelson over the long term. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience.
This role has significant potential growth for development and is a gateway to substantial career path opportunities. Reporting directly to Kelson’s Chief Estimator , in a team-base environment.
Desired Skills & Experience Proficient in Trimble AutoBid Mechanical (or similar software), with demonstrated experience performing piping takeoffs and developing detailed estimates.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the development and maintenance of estimating spreadsheets, bid summaries, cost analyses, and reporting tools.
Strong understanding of hydronic, steam, condensate, compressed air, natural gas, process piping, and plumbing systems.




Ability to interpret and analyze mechanical drawings, specifications, bid documents, and contract requirements to accurately assess project scope and identify potential risks, exclusions, and opportunities.
Solid organizational, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and consistently meet bid deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience obtaining, evaluating, and negotiating supplier and subcontractor quotations, with the ability to perform scope reviews and ensure complete and competitive pricing.
Proven ability to identify value engineering opportunities and develop cost-effective solutions while maintaining compliance with project specifications and performance requirements.
