Working closely with a team of maintenance technicians, technologists, and engineers in a fast‑paced environment, the candidate will contribute to the reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement of Ballard’s production and facility infrastructure.The ideal candidate works well with senior maintenance and engineering staff, is capable of independent troubleshooting, and takes pride in supporting the protected and efficient operation of Ballard’s fuel cell manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesBuilding, installing, and maintaining electrical systems, including control panels, instrumentation, facility wiring, and equipment harnessesPerforming routine and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and facility systemsTroubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults in production equipment, facility infrastructure, and support systemsSupporting corrective maintenance activities and assisting in root‑cause analysis of equipment failuresAssisting in the preparation and updating of maintenance documentation, including work orders, procedures,



and equipment recordsSelecting, sourcing, and organizing electrical components and spare partsSupporting equipment upgrades, retrofits, and continuous improvement initiativesEnsuring all work complies with safety standards and electrical codesRequirementsMust be working toward or have a Red Seal Electrical CertificationMinimum 1–3 years of experience in a relevant industrial or manufacturing environmentExperience analyzing analog and digital circuitsKnowledge of electrical/electronic components, their characteristics, and limitationsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;)Strong troubleshooting skills using tools such as a DMMStrong electrical prototyping and repair skills (wire stripping, crimping, soldering, connector work)Good mechanical aptitude with tools such as drills, grinders, saws, and wrenchesExperience configuring or programming electrical devices such as motor drives, sensors, and distributed I/O systemsKnowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and/or National Electrical CodeExcellent time‑management and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal, oral,
