- Several years coordinating civil or heavy construction work, with real ownership of scopes rather than administration of them
- A technical education behind you and the site instincts that only come from being out there
- Comfort moving between cost, schedule and contract administration without losing the thread of any of them
- A habit of bringing solutions up the chain rather than problems




- The curiosity to ask how the parts of the business you do not touch actually work

Above all, you want to become a Project Manager by being demonstrably ready, and you want to learn somewhere that will give you the chance to prove it.
