We are currently seeking team members for our newest location opening soon in Downtown Moncton, serving the Greater Moncton area.

We are looking for compassionate reliable individuals to join our team of residential counsellors.

Job Type: Full-Time, Shift work position.

Please note: This position involves shift work, including 8-hour and 12-hour shifts across days, evenings, and overnights. Applicants should apply only if they are available to meet these scheduling requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide compassionate emotional support, encouragement, and informal counseling to adults transitioning from homelessness into transitional housing within an adult residential facility setting.
- Ensure the safety, security, and overall well-being of residents at all times
- Monitor resident behavior and assist with activities of daily living
- Plan, organize, and lead daily recreational and social activities that promote engagement and a sense of community
- Remind residents of scheduled medical appointments and accompany them as needed
- Administer prescribed medications and ensure adherence to treatment plans




- Maintain accurate and detailed shift reports and resident documentation
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and general upkeep of the residence
- Respond calmly and effectively to crisis situations, providing appropriate support and intervention

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess one of the following diplomas:

- Human Service Counsellor
- Human Service Practitioner
- Social Service Community Worker

Preferred Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a related human services field.

Mandatory Certifications:

First Aid and CPR Level C certification

Preferred Certifications (Assets):

- NVCI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) training
- FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) training
- UMAB (Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behaviours) training
- SafeTALK (Suicide Alertness for Everyone) training
- ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Training)
- Food Safety certification

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.50-$24.28 per hour
