We are looking for a kind, dependable, and attentive caregiver to provide companionship and supervision for a 92-year-old man in his beautiful home in Châteauguay. He is physically strong, mobile, and largely independent with his day-to-day activities. He is able to walk independently and generally dress and care for himself. However, due to the starting of Alzheimer's, we are looking for someone who can be present to provide supervision, companionship, and assistance when needed. The role is primarily focused on ensuring that he is safe, comfortable, eating properly, and has someone present with him throughout the day. His meals are prepared in advance, so meal responsibilities mainly involve serving his food and making sure that he eats. He enjoys going for walks, so the caregiver should also be comfortable accompanying him on short walks outdoors for fresh air and exercise. Some assistance with dressing or personal care may occasionally be needed, but he is generally able to manage these tasks independently. Light housekeeping is also expected, mainly tidying up after day-to-day activities and keeping his immediate living environment clean and comfortable. A separate cleaner takes care of the more extensive household cleaning. There is no driving required, and the caregiver will not be responsible for transportation, appointments, errands, or grocery shopping. Care is needed for four consecutive days per week. The specific days are flexible and can be discussed. We are open to either one full-time caregiver who can cover the full four-day schedule, ideally as a live-in arrangement,



or two part-time caregivers who would divide the four consecutive days between them on a live-out/live-in basis. We are flexible and happy to discuss an arrangement that works well for everyone involved. Compensation is negotiable and can be discussed based on the schedule, arrangement, and the caregiver's experience.
