Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. The role also focuses on integrating Generative AI and LLM capabilities into enterprise backend workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Build RESTful and event-driven APIs for enterprise-scale applications.
- Integrate Generative AI/LLM capabilities such as text generation, summarization, Q&A;, and classification.
- Design and optimize prompts and prompt orchestration strategies for accuracy, consistency, and performance.
- Develop AI-aware backend components including prompt templates, prompt pipelines, RAG services, and AI inference orchestration layers.
- Implement secure integrations with AI platforms and internal enterprise data sources.
- Apply prompt versioning, evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, and validation techniques.
- Ensure scalability, resiliency, performance, security, and observability of backend services.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-native deployments.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design decisions.
- Troubleshoot complex backend and AI integration issues in production environments.





Required Technical Skills

Core Backend Engineering

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
- Strong expertise in Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
- Solid experience with Microservices, REST APIs, and API design using OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS.
- Robust knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases including DB2, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automated testing.

AI & Prompt Engineering

- Hands-on experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into backend applications.
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering techniques including zero-shot, few-shot, and chain-of-thought prompting.
- Experience with prompt templates, dynamic prompt generation, guardrails, and output validation.
- Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI orchestration, prompt evaluation, and monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience building AI-powered enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging platforms.
- Experience with cloud-native application development.
- Strong understanding of secure enterprise API and AI integrations.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
