Drafting Detailer Job Description:

Our company is currently looking for an experienced Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metal Drafting Detailer to join our team and contribute to our continued development and growth of the company. The Drafting Detailer will create shop and installation drawings in Advance Steel w/ AutoCAD for Structural and Miscellaneous Steel applications. This is a temporary fixed-term onsite position with potential for fulltime. Remote workers need not apply.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and prepare detailed Advance Steel/AutoCAD drawings

· Read and interpret blueprints

· Examine drawings for conformity and errors

· Complete documentation packages and drawing sets

Requirements:

· College/CEGEP

· Completion of post-secondary education with a diploma or degree related to Structural and Miscellaneous Steel design and detailing considered and asset

· Architectural technology/technician

· Civil engineering technology/technician

· Industrial technology/technician





· Minimum 5 years of experience in a Drafting Detail position with knowledge of Structural and Miscellaneous Steel

· Must have knowledge of welding symbols

· Experience with Advance Steel w/AutoCAD and Tekla preferred

· Superior written and verbal communication skills are required.

· Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal skills.

· Computer-aided design (CAD) knowledge required

· AutoCAD knowledge required

· Tekla knowledge required

· Bluebeam knowledge would be an asset

· Steel Solutions knowledge would be an asset

· Visual Solutions knowledge would be an asset

· Beam Cut Soft knowledge would be an asset

· MS Windows

Pay will be based on experience ($23/hr)

Benefits: after 3 months’ probation

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

Location: Brampton, ON

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
