Your future duties and responsibilities
Manage the client’s complete payroll process from end to end.
Enter the information required to set up new employee files, as well as other employee compensation-related data.
Compile and summarize payroll data for management reporting purposes.
Perform predefined data imports and exports.
Produce, analyze, and interpret payroll reports.
Occasionally work outside regular business hours to meet client needs.
Provide telephone support and follow up on client requests, such as creating or modifying earnings and deductions, special reports, stop payments, special payroll runs, and other payroll-related requests.
Make updates to company files and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Maintain up-to-date payroll processing procedures for assigned clients.
Guide clients on current payroll legislation and requirements.
Support clients in using various payroll modules and complementary options.
Work closely with team members and other departments.
Stay informed of changes and updates affecting our solutions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Required Qualifications:
College diploma (DEC) in administration, accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Minimum of four years of experience in payroll.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
Ability to effectively manage priorities.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
Ability to manage stress effectively.
Knowledge of various payroll solutions.
Knowledge of accounting principles.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French (essential).
Assets:
Experience working with import and export files.
Knowledge of group benefits administration.
Knowledge of Microsoft Access.
Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification from the National Payroll Institute (formerly the Canadian Payroll Association).
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000–$100,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
