This position combines hands-on welding inspection with responsibility for QC documentation, procedures and welder qualifications. The successful candidate will work closely with production, engineering and management to ensure our work meets applicable customer, regulatory and company requirements.

This is a full-time, on site position at our facility in Surrey. No remote work offered.

Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Responsible for day-to-day quality control activities, inspections and documentation.
- Perform welding and fabrication inspections and maintain associated quality records.
- Review drawings, specifications, customer requirements and applicable procedures to determine inspection and quality requirements.
- Maintain welding quality control documentation, including WPSs, PQRs/WPQRs, welder qualification records and other relevant documentation.
- Monitor welder qualifications and continuity and ensure welders are qualified for the work being performed.
- Maintain CWB requirements and support ongoing certification and audits.
- Support ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including internal audits, documentation and corrective action.
- Identify and document non-conformances and assist with corrective actions and quality improvements.
- Coordinate NDE and third-party inspections and liaise with CWB, TSBC and AI as required.

Qualifications





- CWB Welding Inspector Level 2 or Level 3 certification required.
- Strong practical knowledge of welding processes, procedures and inspection requirements.
- Demonstrated experience administering WPSs, PQRs/WPQRs and welder qualifications.
- Experience maintaining welding documentation, qualification records and traceability.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols and specifications.
- Experience with CSA W47.1/47.2 and related CWB requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, organized quality records.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, seek out information when needed and recognize when issues require assistance or escalation to management.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license as occasional field inspections may be required.

Assets

Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience:

- ASME Section I, Section VIII, Div 1
- NDE coordination, interpretation of NDE reports or certification (RT, UT, MT and/or PT)
- Experience with pressure equipment and pressure-retaining welds.
- Previous experience in a custom metal fabrication or pressure-equipment manufacturing environment.

This is a full-time, in office position at our Surrey facility.

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
