THE ROLE

We are hiring Dock Workers / Forklift Operators to support daily inbound and outbound freight operations at a busy transportation dock. This is a hands‑on, physically demanding role that plays a key part in keeping freight moving safely, accurately, and on time.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

- Loading, unloading, and moving freight on the dock (50–75 lbs)
- Operating a forklift in a fast‑paced, congested dock environment
- Receiving and shipping freight accurately each day
- Organizing freight for city and line‑haul trailers
- Using proper handling techniques to prevent damage to customer freight
- Following safety procedures, TDG, WHMIS, and site policies
- Assisting with basic shipment paperwork and administrative tasks
- Working as part of a dock team while also being able to work independently

HOURS OF WORK:

- Sunday - Thursday; 10:30pm - 7:00am

REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 75 lbs repeatedly
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding dock environment
- Forklift experience or certification is an asset
- Previous warehouse, dock, or transportation experience preferred
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Steel‑toe work boots required
- High‑visibility reflective vest required
- Reliable transportation required (location is not on a bus route)
- Criminal background check required prior to employment




- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and WHMIS training (can be provided prior to starting)

COMPENSATION

- $19.50/hour + 4% vacation pay
