Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Dispatcher to join our logistics team. This entry-level position plays a vital role in coordinating transportation activities, ensuring efficient freight movement, and supporting overall supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency with transportation management systems, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced workplace. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in transportation planning, fleet management, and logistics coordination within a dynamic company.

Responsibilities

- Assist in dispatching freight and coordinating shipments using transportation management systems such as Transportation Management System.
- Utilize GPS tools to track vehicle locations and optimize routing plans.
- Enter data accurately into systems like TMS and 3PL platforms, ensuring timely updates for shipping & receiving activities.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette.
- Support transportation planning by analyzing logistics data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.




- Monitor fleet management activities, including scheduling maintenance and tracking vehicle status.
- Assist with shipping & receiving documentation, freight scheduling, and coordination of delivery timelines.
- Maintain organized records of dispatch activities, including data entry related to shipments, delivery status, and driver logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication and problem-solving during dispatch operations.
- Ad-hoc job responsilities from time to time.

Qualifications

- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret transportation data and logistics reports.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in transportation and Fleet Manager.
- Strong understanding of North American freight lanes, driver hours of service (HOS), and transport regulations.
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in dispatching software and MS Office (Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure and handle time-sensitive situations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
