Accounting and Administrative Assistant
Farm Power Equipment, located in Delhi, ON is seeking an experienced Accounting/Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. For over 11 years, Farm Power Equipment has been a family owned and operated Farm Equipment Dealership business – serving a wide Customer base throughout soutwestern Ontario by supplying them with a variety of top tier Agriculture Equipment. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional equipment, sales, parts, service, and customer support through our knowledgeable, trained and experienced teams!
Essential Duties:
· Answering phones, directing calls to appropriate departments
· Processing invoices, matching statements, issuing payments, filing once paid
· Reconciling credit card payments in DIS
· Year-end rollover duties such as archiving and printing new file labels
· Reconciling daily sales batches to post to accounting
· Balancing cash drawer and petty cash box
· Assisting the Controller with monthly bank reconciliations
· Coordinating vendor and credit card payments
· Managing admin email
· Maintaining accurate vendor information
· General printing and filing
· Off-site duties as required (bank deposits, mail)
· Other shared administrative duties as required
Expectations:
· Report on time, dressed in accordance with company policy, able to perform above-listed duties
· Maintain organized and up-to-date file systems
· Verify source documents for accuracy and proper signing authority
· Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and procedures
· Execute daily responsibilities to meet departmental goals while adhering to company values (Humble, Driven, Solutions-Oriented)
· Provide feedback and suggestions to improve processes within the scope of the role
· Attend relevant department and company-wide meetings, contributing to organizational alignment and effectiveness
· Communicate proactively with other departments and management to develop timely solutions to novel challenges
· Effectively manage competing priorities using appropriate task-tracking and organizational tools
Skills required:
· Proficiency in accounts payable processes and software, ideally including DIS
· Solid attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
· Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in accounting or related field is preferred
· 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or related finance role
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
· Experience with payment reconciliation and vendor management preferred
· Familiarity with DIS is an asset
· Valid G-class driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional off-site duties
· Availability to work weekdays from 8am to 5pm; Saturdays as required during peak season
Compensation & Benefits:
· $25-$30 hourly, commensurate with experience

Hours
· This is a Full time position
· Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44.0 per week
