56 Social at Lively Golf Club is looking for an experienced Chef or Banquet Cook to join our kitchen team.

We are looking for more than someone who can simply follow a recipe. We want someone who brings experience, creativity, organization, and confidence into the kitchen — someone who can contribute ideas, execute quality food consistently, and help us continue growing our food and banquet program.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Preparing and executing food for banquets, tournaments, events, restaurant service, and special functions
- Handling high-volume service while maintaining consistency and presentation
- Assisting with banquet prep, execution, plating, and timing
- Preparing menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Contributing ideas for banquet menus, specials, features, and future menu development
- Maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient kitchen
- Practicing proper food handling, storage, rotation, and sanitation
- Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Helping with prep planning and organization for large events
- Supporting and working alongside other kitchen staff during busy services

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in candidates with experience as a Chef, Banquet Cook, Line Cook, Sous Chef, or experienced kitchen professional.

The right person will be:

- Comfortable cooking for both restaurant service and large-volume events




- Organized and able to plan ahead
- Reliable and able to work independently when required
- Confident working under pressure
- Consistent with food quality, portioning, and presentation
- A strong team player with good communication skills
- Someone who takes pride in their kitchen and their food
- Willing to bring ideas, knowledge, and experience to the table

Banquet and high-volume cooking experience is a strong asset.

A valid Food Handler Certificate is required or must be obtained.

Compensation

$20–$25 per hour, with wage negotiable based on experience, skill level, and what you bring to the position.

We recognize that experience comes in different forms. Someone with robust banquet experience, leadership ability, menu-development skills, or the ability to take on greater responsibility may be considered at the higher end of the wage range.

About Us

56 Social operates out of Lively Golf Club and is continuing to expand beyond traditional seasonal golf-course food service. Along with daily restaurant operations, our kitchen handles tournaments, banquets, league nights, private events, and special functions.

We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that growth — someone who can bring their own strengths to our kitchen while becoming a dependable part of our team.
