Mathnasium of Oakville is an award winning group of Learning Centres that has proudly served Oakville for almost decade and a half. We are currently seeking Math Instructors to join our growing team at our South and North Oakville locations.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for Math Instructors who are:

- Strong in mathematics, particularly Grades 9 to 12
- Familiar with the Ontario mathematics curriculum
- Creative, energetic, friendly, and approachable
- Patient and encouraging with students
- Comfortable working with both children and teenagers
- Confident explaining mathematical concepts clearly




- Professional when interacting with students, parents, and team members
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Comfortable working within a structured instructional system
- Positive team players who are willing to learn and contribute

Previous teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or instructional experience is an asset. Experience with the Ontario curriculum is strongly preferred.

A university or college graduate in mathematics, science, engineering, education, or a related field is preferred. University and college students with strong mathematics skills and relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Current or former educators, including those with or working toward OCT certification, are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

- Teach Grades 1 to 12 using the Mathnasium Method
- Explain mathematical concepts clearly and adjust your approach to individual students
- Follow students' Learning Plans and centre procedures
- Help students strengthen their math skills and confidence
- Maintain a positive, focused, and productive learning environment
- Build positive relationships with students
- Communicate professionally with parents when appropriate
- Work as part of a team with other instructors and centre leadership
- Assist with appropriate instructional and centre responsibilities

Schedule and Availability

We are open 6 days per week, Monday through Saturday, with after school hours on weekdays and Saturday morning hours.

A minimum availability of 3 to 4 days per week is required. Full availability across our operating days and hours is strongly preferred.





Candidates available across multiple weekdays and Saturday mornings will be especially well suited to our scheduling needs.

Once a schedule is established, instructors are expected to maintain their availability reliably.

Some flexibility between our two Oakville locations may be required.

Location and Commute

**Applicants should live approximately 20 to 30 minutes maximum driving distance from our Oakville centres and have reliable mode of transportation**

Please consider your normal commute during after school and evening hours before applying.

Compensation

$18.00 to $19.25 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated instructional ability.
