About the role

We're looking for a licensed personal lines broker who wants to build a book, not just service one. This is a new business role. You'll be quoting and writing home, auto, tenant, condo, and recreational vehicle policies for clients across Ontario, with the support of a brokerage that gives you access to a wide range of markets.

What you'll do

- Quote and write new home, auto, tenant, condo, and recreational vehicle policies
- Work leads from referrals, online inquiries, and walk-ins
- Learn which carriers want which risks, and place business accordingly
- Complete applications accurately and submit clean files to underwriters
- Explain coverage in plain language so clients understand what they're buying
- Follow up on open quotes and close the sale




- Spot opportunities to bundle auto and property for existing clients
- Keep your activity and client records current in our system

What we're looking for

- Comfortable talking to people on the phone and in person
- Organized enough to juggle several quotes at once without dropping any
- Motivated by targets and willing to chase a sale
- Careful with details. Insurance applications are unforgiving of sloppy data entry
- Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn recent software
- Additional languages are an asset given our client base
- RIBO license is required.

What we offer

- Base salary plus commission on new business written

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
