JOB OVERVIEW:

PCAP is a voluntary, relationship-based program that supports women to reduce alcohol or drug use, build healthy and independent family lives, and strengthen their connections to community services and supports.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide strength-based coaching, service coordination and advocacy
- Support participants to address practical needs and access community and government resources
- Provide recovery, harm reduction and family planning information and resources
- Support engagement with other services, including accompaniment when needed
- Develop goals and service plans with participants
- Participate in outreach and maintain required doumentation and statistics

REQUIREMENTS:

- Social Work diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 3 year relevant experience; lived experience is an asset
- Training in substance use and FASD is an asset
- Strength-based, person and family-centred approach with strong communication skills
- Valid class 5 driver's licence and vehicle
- Flexibility for evenings, weekends and travel.
