Reports To: Manager and Supervisor of Linehaul

We are currently hiring a Linehaul Dispatch Trainee to join our Winnipeg Terminal team. Reporting to the Manager and Supervisor of Linehaul, this role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance their career in the transportation industry.

Training for this position is expected to last 12 months. The successful candidate will work a variety of shifts, supporting days, afternoons and overnights covering 365 days a year. Shift length will vary; 8 to 10 hours per day.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

· Plan and coordinate drivers and equipment for linehaul operations

· Communicate with drivers, terminals, and dock personnel

· Review previous shift activities and report irregularities

· Confirm bookings, manifests, and Bills of Lading

· Respond to phone inquiries and resolve operational issues

· Track incident reports and assist with follow-up

· Coordinate maintenance and assist with accident response when required

· Participate in safety initiatives

· Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· 1–2 years of related experience is an asset

· Strong communication and customer service skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced,



computerized office environment

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills

· Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

· Experience with linehaul operations or freight handling is an asset

· Strong computer and telephone skills

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged sitting and continuous computer and telephone use
