Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Labourer/Machine Operator to join our sheet metal manufacturing team. This role involves helping to operate various machinery, performing assembly and fabrication tasks, and ensuring quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with CNC equipment, and the ability to read drawings and a tape measure. This position offers an chance to work in a dynamic environment where teamwork, precision, and efficiency are prioritized. Note this position is open for evening shift only, 3:30 pm to 12:00 am.

Duties

- Assist in operating CNC press brake machines, and other manufacturing equipment
- Set up and adjust machinery using tools such as calipers, hand tools, and measuring devices to ensure accurate production
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for exact fabrication and assembly
- Use forklifts safely for material handling within the warehouse or production area
- Conduct quality control inspections using calipers and other measurement tools to ensure products meet specifications
- Assist in packaging finished products for shipment while maintaining safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements

- Ability to operate press brake machines is preferred
- Ability to lift and move 50 lbs with ease




- Strong blueprint reading skills coupled with mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Experience with warehouse operations including forklift operation is preferred
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, hand tools, calipers, and basic math skills necessary for precise measurements
- Prior experience in manufacturing or machining environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of quality control procedures to maintain high standards of product integrity
- Ability to work safely around machinery and adhere to all safety guidelines at all times
- Communication is key is this role, fluent English is a requirement

This position is integral to our manufacturing operations and requires a dedicated individual committed to quality craftsmanship. Many of our employees have been with us since the 1990's and we are looking for long term and reliable personnel to join our expanding team. Currently hiring on a 3 month contract with options to extend.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
