Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder / Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality metal structures and assemblies, supporting our commitment to excellence in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

- Welding operations — SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, MCAW, and/or GTAW per CWB requirements
- Blueprint & drawing interpretation — fabrication drawings, process drawings, and CWB/AWS weld symbols
- Fitting & assembly — measure, lay out, fit, align, and tack-weld into assemblies for robot or manual welding
- CWB procedure compliance — following WPS, WPDS, and internal fabrication procedures
- Quality inspection — visual inspection for weld quality, dimensional accuracy, and tolerances
- Safety & production — PPE compliance, secure working procedures, and meeting customer schedules and standards

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on welding and fitting experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment




- CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) certification or equivalent recognized welding certification
- Demonstrated experience with welding processes including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, MCAW, or GTAW
- Experience working with Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and/or Aluminum
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, weld symbols (per CWB/AWS standards), and engineering specifications
- Familiarity with CSA W47.1 and W47.2 standards
- Ability to read and apply both Imperial and Metric measuring systems
- Ability to read and understand WPDS to set up and operate welding machines
- Certified or qualified to operate overhead cranes and hoists (or willingness to obtain certification)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English (required for safe interpretation of safety instructions, blueprints, and workplace communication)

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
