Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Contract Footcare Nurse to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide specialized footcare services to patients across various settings, including clinics, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. Your expertise will help improve mobility, prevent complications, and enhance overall quality of life for individuals with diverse needs. This position offers a flexible contract arrangement, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance.

Duties

- Conduct comprehensive foot assessments and develop personalized footcare plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Perform routine foot treatments, including trimming, callus removal, nail care, and wound management- must have own equipment to see approx 6-8 patients daily.
- Educate patients and caregivers on proper foot hygiene, injury prevention, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document all procedures accurately in electronic health records using systems such as JANE
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to promote healing and comfort.
- Assist with case management by identifying at-risk populations,



especially in senior care or dementia care settings.

Skills

- Proven experience working as a Footcare Nurse in related nursing roles within hospital or acute care environments.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and wound care protocols.
- Familiarity with electronic health record system JANE for documentation purposes.
- Experience in pain management techniques specific to foot and lower limb conditions.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward children, seniors, and individuals with special needs such as dementia or mobility challenges.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and experience working in assisted living or nursing home settings is highly desirable.

Pay: $38.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32.0 per week
