- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other technical documents in order to prepare estimates
- Develop and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of roofing types, materials and systems
- Assembled accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner
- Collaborates with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on estimates
- Maintains relationships with sub-contractors and clients
- Needs to understand contractual terms and conditions
- Provides explicit and detailed take-offs
- Organizes sub-contractor quotations
- Evaluates a tender’s cost-effectiveness and profitability
- Meets with potential clients to discuss options for proposed services
- Recommends ways to make products more cost-effective and profitable
- Review estimates of junior estimators, identify inconsistencies, share experience and communicate a path to resolution
