Reporting to the Director of Finance, you'll take the lead on financial operations, reporting, internal controls, and compliance, ensuring strong financial governance and effective stewardship of the organization's resources. You'll drive year-end audit activities, support the preparation of external financial statements, and play a key role in improving financial processes and systems along the way. Main responsibilities include:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team through effective performance management, training, and workload planning
- Oversee financial operations, including accounting processes, reconciliations, internal controls, and process improvements
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, employee expenses, and cash management activities
- Oversee payroll-related financial processes and maintain appropriate controls
- Support financial reporting, month-end and year-end close processes, financial statement preparation, and annual audits
- Partner with internal teams to strengthen financial processes, systems, and compliance practices

Qualifications





The main qualifications for this role include:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CPA or similar certification is an asset
- 5+ years of experience in financial management or accounting, including experience with nonprofit accounting, fund accounting, and managing project finances
- Comfortable using financial systems and tools such as PeopleSoft and Excel
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

How You Will Be Rewarded:

- $95,000 – $110,000 annual salary range
- Vacation paid out at 6%
- Remote work environment
