ABOUT HORIZON LEGACY
Horizon Legacy is pioneering the use of construction automation and robotics to address some of the construction industry’s biggest challenges, including labour shortages, productivity, and housing affordability.
Building on more than 70 years of experience in infrastructure and real estate development, we are advancing new approaches to construction through onsite robotics and automated construction technologies.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Interim Marketing Manager will provide maternity leave coverage and be responsible for the ongoing management and execution of Horizon Legacy’s marketing activities while supporting Business Development.
This is a hands-on role that combines marketing strategy, content and asset development, market intelligence, digital marketing, events, and sales enablement within a technical B2B environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Marketing Strategy & Execution: Manage and execute the marketing strategy and calendar in alignment with Horizon Legacy’s business development and growth objectives.
· Sales & Business Development Support: Develop marketing strategies, materials, and initiatives that support lead generation, customer engagement, and long-cycle B2B sales.
· Marketing & Sales Assets: Develop and manage pitch decks, presentations, project collateral, website content, customer materials, and other marketing and sales assets.
· Content & Digital Marketing: Manage content development and execution across agreed-upon marketing channels, ensuring consistent positioning, messaging, and brand standards.
· Website Management: Manage and maintain the Horizon Legacy website in Webflow, including content, project information, updates, and inbound website inquiries.
· Market Intelligence: Monitor industry news, market trends, competitors, associations, events, and emerging opportunities, including supporting the automation of bi-annual market analysis.
· Events & Industry Engagement: Plan and coordinate customer events, site visits, conferences, speaking opportunities, and other industry activities that support visibility and lead generation.
· Marketing Opportunity Assessment: Evaluate events, sponsorships, media, partnerships, and other marketing opportunities based on strategic fit and potential business value.
· Brand & Reputation Management: Support the management of Horizon Legacy’s brand, reputation, intellectual property, and external communications.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, COO, Sales, Development, Engineering,
and other internal stakeholders to understand customer needs and effectively communicate Horizon Legacy’s technology and value proposition.
Operational Responsibilities
· Manage the marketing calendar and coordinate campaigns, content, events, projects, and deliverables.
· Manage external marketing agencies, videographers, graphic designers, copywriters, and other contractors and vendors.
· Coordinate marketing materials for new projects, including digital, print, presentation, and out-of-home collateral.
· Support RFI, RFP, and RFQ submissions with relevant marketing content, company information, project materials, and supporting documentation.
· Support Zoho CRM governance, data quality, and alignment between Sales and Marketing.
· Manage website inquiries and ensure opportunities are documented and directed to the appropriate internal team for follow-up.
· Lead recurring Sales and Marketing meetings, including preparing agendas and taking meeting minutes
· Support Sales and Marketing KPI tracking, reporting, and performance reviews.
· Maintain organized and current marketing assets, presentations, project information, photography, video, and customer-facing materials.
· Manage media releases, photography and video consent forms, and approvals for external use of company, project, site, employee, and stakeholder content.
· Support marketing budget planning, expenditure tracking, vendor costs, and reporting.

· B2B Marketing: Strong understanding of B2B marketing and its role in supporting business development and long-cycle sales.
· Strategic Marketing: Ability to translate business objectives into practical marketing strategies, campaigns, content, and deliverables.
· Technical Communication: Ability to understand complex technical information and translate it into clear and compelling messaging for different audiences.
· Content Development: Strong writing, editing, presentation, and storytelling skills across digital, print, and sales materials.
· Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, vendors, and deadlines simultaneously.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with executives, Sales, Development, Engineering, Operations, external partners, and contractors.
· Market Research & Analysis: Ability to assess market trends, competitors, customer segments,
and industry opportunities and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
· CRM & Data Discipline: Understanding of CRM governance and the importance of accurate, timely sales and marketing data.
· Digital & Technology Proficiency: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools. Experience with Canva, Webflow, Zoho CRM, or similar platforms is an asset.
· Adaptability: Comfortable operating in a growing, entrepreneurial environment where priorities and market opportunities continue to evolve.
Background & Qualifications
· 2–5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably within construction, real estate development, technology, infrastructure, or another technical industry.
· Degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline.
· Experience supporting business development, lead generation, go-to-market activities, or long-cycle B2B sales is considered an asset.
· Experience developing professional marketing and sales materials, presentations, digital content, and customer-facing communications.
· Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and project management skills.
· Interest in emerging construction technologies, automation, and robotics, with the ability to quickly develop an understanding of Horizon Legacy’s technology and its applications.
· Must be located in the Greater Toronto Area and able to work primarily from the office, with occasional travel to project sites, customer meetings, conferences, and events.

Summary
This is an opportunity to join a growing organization at the forefront of construction automation. The Interim Marketing Manager will provide maternity leave coverage and ensure continuity across Horizon Legacy’s marketing and business development activities.
The role will work primarily from the office while also participating in customer meetings, industry events, and visits to active construction sites and completed developments to support the promotion of Horizon Legacy’s onsite robotic construction technology.
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
