Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Lead AV Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on integration expertise who thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard environment and is excited to lead on-site execution for a wide range of automation and AV projects.

You’ll be responsible for everything from pre-wire to final system commissioning—including advanced troubleshooting and documentation—and play a key role in mentoring junior technicians and ensuring jobsite success.

Key Responsibilities

- Install and configure automation, audio/video, lighting, networking, and motorized shading systems
- Lead pre-wire, retrofit, and final-phase install efforts
- Read and implement engineered AV drawings, network diagrams, and floor plans




- Build and troubleshoot AV racks to a high standard
- Handle advanced system commissioning and end-user training
- Direct junior techs and delegate daily job tasks
- Coordinate with builders, electricians, and other trades
- Provide structured feedback to sales/design teams to improve system deployment

Qualifications

- 4–5 years experience in residential AV installation
- 2+ years of programming experience in Crestron Home or Control4 (legacy Crestron programming not applicable)
- 1+ year experience configuring and troubleshooting networks (brand experience is flexible—focus is on foundational skills)
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and adapt in real-world environments
- Comfortable working from heights and lifting/maneuvering equipment
- Valid G-class driver’s license
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime when required
- No certifications required (CEDIA, etc.), but a willingness to learn is essential

Pay: $60,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
