Grocery Clerk – Lucky Supermarket Surrey

Lucky Supermarket is an Asian grocery supermarket offering a wide selection of Asian and Western groceries, fresh produce, meat, seafood and specialty products.

We are looking for a Grocery Clerk to join our Surrey location.

Responsibilities

- Provide friendly and helpful customer service.
- Stock shelves and display products in a neat and organized manner.
- Unpack, count, weigh and sort products received by the store.
- Rotate stock and ensure products are properly displayed.
- Keep shelves, products and work areas clean and organized.
- Assist customers in locating products throughout the store.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping.
- Record incoming stock and assist with inventory as required.
- Assist with receiving and organizing merchandise.
- Cross-train and assist in other departments when required, including Produce, Meat, Bakery, Deli, Cashier and Customer Service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Friendly and customer-service oriented.




- Reliable and able to work well as part of a team.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace.
- Able to lift and handle products weighing up to 23 kg (approximately 50 lbs).
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
- Able to perform repetitive lifting, bending, crouching and kneeling.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of Asian and Western grocery products is an asset.
- A second language is an asset.
- Steel-toed safety footwear may be required depending on assigned duties.
