The Career Foundation is currently seeking a Product & Business Development Associate on behalf of one of our employer partners.

Job Summary

We are looking for an ambitious, business-minded person who brings robust commitment, curiosity, and an execution-focused mindset.

If you want 1-on-1 mentorship with the Founder, real commercial responsibility, and hands-on exposure to how a business actually operates from the inside, this role is built for you.

Location: Toronto, ON — Bayview & Sheppard area (Hybrid / In-person presence required across the GTA)

Work Term: 4 Months (September – December) | 35–40 hrs/week

Compensation: $20.00 CAD / hour (Potential for extension based on performance and business growth)

What You’ll Gain & Learn

- Direct Mentorship & Grooming: Work side-by-side with the Founder to refine your commercial, analytical, and leadership capabilities.
- Real Ownership & Impact: Lead key commercial operations and manage on-the-ground activations for our flagship Toronto Industry Showcase on November 10th.
- End-to-End Business Exposure: Understand supply chain logistics, B2B partner negotiations, customer discovery, and strategic planning.
- Industry Networking: Connect directly with CPG brand managers, product formulators, and food industry leaders across the GTA.

Key Responsibilities

Event Ownership & On-Site Activation: Lead setup, booth operations, tasting activations, and B2B engagement at industry trade shows (including full presence at our Nov 10th flagship showcase).

Sample Logistics & Operations: Assemble high-quality B2B trial kits and manage in-person sample deliveries to CPG formulators, bakeries, and beverage partners across the GTA.

Customer Discovery & B2B Engagement: Interact directly with prospective B2B buyers,



gather structured qualitative feedback, and track market demand signals

Market Insights & Strategy: Synthesize partner feedback into actionable insights to guide future product expansion (South American coffee, cacao, and functional botanicals).

Operations & Admin Support: Maintain clear, organized trackers (Excel/Sheets) for client pipelines, sample inventory, and day-to-day business workflow.

What We Are Looking For

- Business Mindset & Commitment: Driven to take ownership, deliver high-quality results, and continuously grow your professional skill set.
- Interest in Food & Beverage (Preferred): Genuine interest or curiosity in the Food & Beverage industry, CPG innovation, or venture building.
- GTA Mobility: Based locally in the Greater Toronto Area and comfortable navigating the region (via transit or personal vehicle) for trade shows, partner meetings, and sample deliveries.
- Autonomous Execution: A reliable self-starter who manages deadlines independently, thrives in an early-stage environment, and gets things done.
- Professional Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for B2B networking and client outreach.
- Technical & Organizational Skills: Proficient in MS Excel; basic design or presentation layout skills (e.g., Canva) are a plus.
- Key Event Availability: Full-day availability around our key November 10th showcase event.
